A Message From The Owners -

We’ve been honored to own and operate Shiprock Trading Post since 2009, but our journey in Native American arts and crafts began more than 30 years ago. Over the decades, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Native artists from across the Southwest—building real relationships, learning directly from the makers, and gaining a deep respect for the cultural traditions behind each art form.

These are not just business relationships to us. Many of the artists we work with are friends, mentors, and collaborators. We’ve shared meals, stories, milestones, and generations of craftsmanship. That connection shapes everything we do—from how we select our pieces, to how we represent artists, to how we educate our customers.

Our background includes specialized knowledge in Navajo rugs, Native American jewelry, pottery, basket weaving, and many other traditional art forms. But more than expertise, what drives us is respect—for the cultures, the artists, and the living traditions that continue to thrive through their work.

When you purchase from Shiprock Trading Post, you are not just buying a piece of art—you are supporting an artist, a family, a tradition, and a culture. You are becoming part of a story that stretches back generations and continues forward through the hands of today’s makers.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of that journey.

With gratitude,

Kent & Hillary Morrow
